Zumba Fitness

What is Zumba?
Zumba, which started in Columbia in the 90’s, is a fusion of Latin rhythms and easy to learn dance moves. Usually consisting of hour long workouts, the class includes intervals of cardio to burn calories and resistance exercises to tone the body. You use your own body weight for resistance so minimal equipment, if any, is needed.

Starting with a warm up, getting your body used to the rhythms, the instructor will them quicken the pace into faster dance steps. Throughout the class you’ll be taken though a combination of fast and slow rhythms to keep your body working achieving a full body workout.

Who Can Zumba?
Zumba is great for anyone and all ages and fitness levels are welcome in the classes. Check your local gym’s schedule as well because some places will offer different Zumba classes to meet different client’s needs. There are kids classes as well as one’s tailored for seniors. Typically Zumba participants are women ranging in age from 20 to 50. The step
