janicas Anthony Janicas – Strength and Conditioning Coach Hons. B. Kin, McMaster University,  CSCS, PTS Certified Strength & Conditioning SpecialistAnthony has been a Strength & Conditioning Coach and an elite level athlete for a number of years.  He completed his undergraduate degree at McMaster’s prestigious Kinesiology program.

During this time, he excelled while playing for the McMaster Marauders Baseball Team while also working as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Marauders Football Team.  In his final year as an undergraduate, he served as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Marauders Wrestling Team.

During 2008, Anthony worked at a Sport Conditioning Facility in Barrie, Ontario, where he worked as a Strength & Conditioning Coach for various soccer and hockey teams, most prominently the Barrie Colts (OHL), in addition to various elite athletes in figure skating, track and field, golf, soccer and football.  His passion for Strength & Conditioning, tremendous knowledge and experience, and meticulous program design are an invaluable asset to any team (or athletes) looking to separate themselves from their competition and take their game to the next level.

Mat Mori
Physiotherapist
CrossFit Coach

Mat graduated from the Masters of Physiotherapy program at McMaster University after completing an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education at Wilfrid Laurier University.

He has recently completed the McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program, furthering the breadth of his physiotherapy skill set. He has extensive knowledge of the neurophysiological basis of acupuncture, as well as electroacupuncture and dry needling techniques. His next step is completing a variety of advanced manual therapy courses.

Mat has experience treating individuals with a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries and dysfunctions. His neurofunctional and holistic approach aims to address the root cause of clients’ issues to minimize recurrence in the future.

Mat has extensive experience in exercise training- teaching safe and efficient functional movement patterns to reduce risk of injury- to supplement his physiotherapy education and experience.

Frank Longo

Canfit Pro certified Personal Trainer. He also holds certifications in Olympic Weightlifting, SMRT Core, Methods in Hypertrophy.

Frank’s background is strength and conditioning for athletes but has used all knowledge gained to help pinpoint what his clients need to be successful in obtaining their goals.
Franks training philosophy is very goal based to help each individual client.

I am a 4 time Canadian National Champion in the sport of Taekwondo in hopes of being in the 2016 Olympic Games. Other training specialties include: Gymnastics, freerunning/parkour, and martial arts stunts for films.

My passion for martial arts has led me into the fitness industry. Teaching Tae kwon do, and working with clients personal training share very similar principles. I find it fulfilling mentoring and motivating others to help them attain and accomplish their goals.

My personal growth in my martial arts training and overall fitness has come by following the 4 “D’s” of success – desire, determination, dedication, and discipline. These are the 4 principles that I hope to instill in every client who has decided to make fitness apart of their lifestyle.

The list is long and varied.With his keen eye, creative program design, passion for fitness and sport performance Murray has repeatedly shocked athletes and coaches with amazing results in very short periods of time.As owner of Phoenix Fitness, Steel City CrossFit and CrossFit Ancaster Murray is very proud of the Personal Training team and facilities he has to offer to Athletes and sports teams in the Hamilton, Ancaster and Dundas area.

As owner of Phoenix Fitness for the last 20 years Rita has touched the lives and improved the performance of thousands of people.Rita has participated in many well known running events including The Cabot Trail Relay Run, The Banff to Jasper Relay Run, Around The Bay and countless others.

Using her education, personal experiences and a an intense passion for helping others to improve. Rita motivates, educates and pushes her clients and anyone near her to continually challenge themselves and experience rapid improvements in their fitness, running and strength.
