Camille Leblanc-Bazinet and Irving Hernandez notched the world’s best scores on Open Workout 14.2, and will take home the second of five weekly cash prizes.
Open Workout 14.2 was an ascending ladder of overhead squats and chest-to-bar pull-ups. If you missed it, here’s how the Open Workout 14.2 worked: At 3-2-1 … go! an athlete tried to get two rounds of 10 overhead squats (95/65) and 10 chest-to-bar pull-ups in less than three minutes. If the athlete completed the work within the time cap, the athlete would wait until the clock hit the three-minute mark and then start two rounds of 12 overhead squats and 12 chest-to-bar pull-ups. Again, if the athlete completed that work within three minutes (3:00-6:00), the athlete would wait until the clock hit 6:00 and then start two rounds of 14, and 14. Etc., following the same pattern until the athlete could not complete two rounds.
